MkStands 500gr CNC Turntable Weights

We’re MkStands — a small UK outfit based in the heart of Somerset with the vinyl community running through our veins. From bedroom DJs learning their first blends to sell-out stadium tours with the biggest names DJs on the planet, we’ve been in the trenches with many a sound engineers over the years battling transmission for feedback.

Our Datum and Overboots and accessories have held their own in some of the largest clubs, and that same energy runs through everything we machine.

Our latest drop is a 500gr turntable weight, cut in-house on our five-axis mini machine from solid 6082T6 aerospace-grade aluminium. At half a kilo, it sits in the sweet spot: enough mass to lock the record to the platter and dampen the rumble from club subs and floor monitors, without loading your motor or spindle bearings.

What it does for you DJs and audio people.

•  Flattens warped vinyl. Presses bowed records back into plane, keeping the stylus in the groove and cutting down on skips.
•  Kills feedback. Added mass improves coupling between the record and platter, reducing vibration and acoustic feedback when the bass is shaking the booth.
•  Tightens the sound. Better mechanical contact means punchier transients, tighter low-end, and a more stable stereo image when you’re cueing, scratching, or riding the pitch.
•  Won’t mess with your cartridge. Unlike steel or brass, 6082T6 aluminium is non-magnetic and inert — no interference with your stylus assembly, no corrosion, no residue on your wax.

And because we never left the rave behind, the top surface is engraved with throwback icons from the 1990s underground — dubs, Mitsubishi, smiley, all the marks of a scene that built this community.
